Pandemic
Pandemic is the second of Teldaria's dungeons — a hellscape of imps, demons and armoured knights locked at permanent midnight, opened up to parties of four from level 75. It is a much longer and nastier run than the Bandit Lair: thirty zones of scripted spawns, a mini boss halfway through, and a boss arena guarded by the Hellbeast and the Pyromancer. The run gives your party a shared pool of ten lives and forty-five minutes to get through it.
Entry works like every other dungeon — build a party with /dungeonparty create, invite with /dungeonparty invite (name), then run /dungeons and pick Pandemic from the menu.
Run Rules
The party shares a single pool of ten lives for the whole run, and the clock gives you forty-five minutes. Completing it pays a guaranteed 300 level points, $10,000 and 2 tokens on top of whatever the three reward blocks give you.
Pandemic is on a per-player cooldown once you complete it.
TODO: confirm the cooldown length between Pandemic runs.
TODO: confirm what happens when the shared lives run out or the 45 minutes expire.
Strategy
The route runs through thirty zones, each one spawning its wave the moment somebody walks into it. Everything in Pandemic hits hard enough that Legendary gear is the recommended floor, and the arena fights punish anyone standing in lava or trying to fight at range.
Two respawn checkpoints are set along the way, and you get a chat message reading Respawn point has been set! when you cross them. The first is roughly halfway through the dungeon, just past the Reformed Demon that follows the Hellfeather mini boss; the second sits at the approach to the boss arena. Dying after a checkpoint puts you back at that checkpoint rather than the entrance, so it is worth pushing the whole party through one before anyone commits to a risky pull.
Named Encounters
| Order | Encounter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Opening | Pyromancer Encounter | Scripted fight right off the spawn point |
| Mid-run | Hellfeather | Mini boss, 6,000 health, orange boss bar within 64 blocks |
| Mid-run | Reformed Demon II | Followed immediately by the first respawn checkpoint |
| Late | Blaze King | Worth 10 level points and summons Blaze minions |
| Late | Reformed Demon | Guards the teleporters into the boss arena |
| Arena | Hellbeast | 16,500 health — the dungeon's registered boss |
| Arena | Pyromancer | 8,000 health, sits at the reward area, so it is the last thing you kill |
Hellbeast
Hellbeast is the reason Pandemic is a level 75 dungeon. It carries a red six-segment boss bar that shows up from 200 blocks away, and it hands out permanent Night Vision to every player inside that same radius — the arena is pitch dark otherwise, so that buff is doing real work.
| Mechanic | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Health | 16,500 |
| Lava geysers | 50 damage and sets you on fire within 6 blocks, plus a launch at point blank. The geyser itself cannot be destroyed and lasts about 4 seconds |
| Meteors | Summoned with 70 health each and destructible. If Hellbeast destroys one before you do, everyone within 200 blocks sees a broadcast |
| Volatile glass | Invisible 2,000 health hazards scattered around the arena that expire after a minute |
| Lava healing | Heals itself when damaged near lava |
| Arrow shield | Deflects arrows and can raise a shield against them when hurt |
| Beam | A 10,000 health beam entity with a stronger follow-up |
| Knockback | Cannot be pushed at all |
Because of the arrow deflection and the lava healing, kiting Hellbeast with a bow is a losing plan — bring melee pressure, keep it away from open lava, and break the meteors yourself so it does not get free value from them.
Pyromancer
The Pyromancer waits at the reward area, so the run is not over when Hellbeast dies. It has 8,000 health, an orange boss bar, and 99% knockback resistance, so nothing you do will move it. Damaging it makes it teleport through lava, which means it will reposition constantly and drop you into fire if you chase it carelessly. Clear it before anyone starts right-clicking reward blocks.
Mobs
Every trash mob in Pandemic is worth 5 level points on kill, and each one has a 5% chance to drop crafting materials. The scripted route contains 159 of them:
| Mob | Count | Material Drops (5%) |
|---|---|---|
| Fire Imp | 30 | Wing |
| Demon | 25 | Scorched Bones |
| Hellworm | 21 | Exotic Meat |
| Legendary Minion | 17 | Eyeball, Exotic Meat |
| Hellhound | 17 | Fang, Fur, Saliva Vial |
| Dark Imp | 12 | Heart |
| Piglin | 11 | Tusk |
| Knight | 11 | Blood Vial, Heart |
| Hell Knight | 9 | Scorched Bones, Lungs |
| Knight Rider | 6 | Scorched Bones, Blood Vial |
The Blaze King and the Hellfeather mini boss are worth 10 level points apiece. Hellbeast and the Pyromancer award no level points of their own — their payout is the completion reward instead.
Loot
Finishing the run pays out a guaranteed lump sum, then lets you gamble your reward chance on the loot table.
| Guaranteed on completion | |
|---|---|
| Level points | 300 |
| Money | $10,000 |
| Tokens | 2 |
Tokens are spent in the Vote Shop with /vshop.
On top of that, three sea lanterns light up at the reward area, each one marked Right click to recieve your reward! Every block is an independent roll against the reward chance you built up killing mobs — as explained on the Dungeons page, reward chance only decides whether you get loot, never the quality of it. When a roll does pay out, this is what it pays:
| Reward | Weight | Share of a Paying Roll |
|---|---|---|
| Fatal item | 140 | ~51.7% |
| Legendary item | 60 | ~22.1% |
| Scorched Bones ×5 | 30 | ~11.1% |
| Eyeball ×1 | 30 | ~11.1% |
| Legendary Bottle ×1 | 10 | ~3.7% |
| Hellbeast sword texture | 1 | ~0.4% |
The Hellbeast sword texture is the single rarest thing in the dungeon at one weight in 271, and the two Pandemic difficulties are the only places on the server that award it.
TODO: confirm the exact kill count that maxes out reward chance in Pandemic — the dungeon is configured around 250 kills, but the route itself only scripts 159 mobs, so summoned adds appear to count too.
Pandemic [Mythic]
Pandemic [Mythic] is a separate dungeon in the /dungeons menu, not a difficulty toggle. It runs the same map, the same thirty zones, the same 4-player cap, the same ten lives and the same 45:00 limit — but every mob is swapped for a hardened variant, and it requires level 500, which is the server's maximum level. It is endgame-only content in the most literal sense.
| Pandemic | Pandemic [Mythic] | |
|---|---|---|
| Level required | 75 | 500 |
| Level points | 300 | 750 |
| Money | $10,000 | $25,000 |
| Tokens | 2 | 5 |
| Reward blocks | 3 | 4 |
That $25,000, 5-token payout is the largest guaranteed reward of any dungeon on the server, and the fourth reward block gives it an extra loot roll on top.
| Reward | Weight | Share of a Paying Roll |
|---|---|---|
| Legendary item | 150 | ~58.8% |
| Scorched Bones ×10 | 30 | ~11.8% |
| Eyeball ×2 | 30 | ~11.8% |
| Legendary Bottle ×2 | 20 | ~7.8% |
| Mythic Sword | 6 | ~2.4% |
| Mythic Bow | 6 | ~2.4% |
| Mythic Great Axe | 6 | ~2.4% |
| Mythic Helmet | 6 | ~2.4% |
| Hellbeast sword texture | 1 | ~0.4% |
This table is the only source of the Mythic Sword, Mythic Bow, Mythic Great Axe and Mythic Helmet — none of them appear in normal Pandemic's table, or in either Bandit Lair table.
TODO: how much stronger the hardened Mythic variants of the Pandemic mobs and bosses actually are is not documented anywhere yet.
TODO: confirm whether Mythic-dungeon trash drops crafting materials at all — the normal mobs do, but the hardened variants may not.
