Farming
Alongside the usual Minecraft crops, Teldaria adds five custom crops that you can grow and harvest yourself: Rice, Tomato, Lettuce, Corn and Blackberry. They are ingredients for the Cook job's food recipes, and you unlock each one for planting by levelling the Farmer job. The wild plants that can only be picked, not farmed, are listed on Custom Plants.
Growing Custom Crops
- Buy the seeds from the Mission Shops.
- Plant them once your Farmer job level is high enough for that crop (see the table below).
- Let them grow. They grow like normal Minecraft crops, through several growth stages.
- Break them when fully grown to harvest the crop.
Each harvest drops exactly one seed, enough to replant the same spot but never more. To grow a bigger field, buy more seeds.
The Five Crops
| Crop | Farmer level to plant | Used in |
|---|---|---|
| Rice | 15 | Sushi (Cook 10) |
| Tomato | 30 | Cheese Burger (Cook 40), Pizza (Cook 50), Prestige Taco |
| Lettuce | 45 | Cheese Burger (Cook 40), Prestige Taco |
| Corn | 65 | Hearty Steak Dinner (Cook 70), Prestige Taco |
| Blackberry | 80 | Fruit Salad (Cook 25), Sweet Berry Ice Cream (Cook 35), Fruit Punch (Cook 50), Ambrosia (Cook 100) |
Each recipe unlocks at the Cook level shown; the Prestige Taco comes from the prestige tree instead. Blackberry is the most useful crop to keep growing, since four recipes need it, but it is also the last one to unlock.
The Farmer Job and Farming Skill
Regular crops pay out in two separate systems:
- The Farmer job pays you for growing and harvesting crops, and its level unlocks the custom crops.
- The Farming skill earns XP for harvesting fully grown crops, breeding animals and shearing. Its perks include doubled crop drops, free auto-replanting and faster crop growth.
The custom crops do not pay Farmer job income or Farming skill XP. Grow them for the Cook recipes, and level Farmer on regular crops.
