Each tournament lasts 20 minutes. You can check tournament progress with /ft info, or check when the next tournament is with /ft time.

Tournament Types

Tournaments are randomly chosen from the list below when starting. In the event of a tie, the player who first had the value will be selected as the higher placed individual (e.g. first and second place are tied for 2 crabs, the player who killed 2 crabs first would be listed as first place).

Longest Length

This tournament is purely luck based. When the tournament is active, each fish caught will have a random length shown in chat. Longer lengths are exponentially harder to get. Functionally, one can improve their odds in this tournament by catching more fish, so Totem abilities and augments that increase the number of fish caught can assist in rolling more lengths, but its no guarantee of placing in the tournament.

Random Catch

This tournament is all about catching a randomly selected fish. Only Bronze and Silver fish that can spawn in all biomes in the Overworld and Spawn can be selected. Depending on the fish selected, the strategy might change how the competition is approached. Things to consider would be the potential pool of fish you're able to catch, how many fish you catch, and the tier of fish on whether or not a Totem is effective in aiding. Warning, any fish caught as the random catch fish and upgraded with the Mythical Waters Totem ability do NOT count towards the tournament.

Most Catch

This tournament is all about catching fish as fast as possible. Short casts, fast fingers, Lure 3, and all augments and Totem abilities are highly encouraged to maximize the likelihood of wining.

Base Entropy Earned

This tournament is all about catching higher tiered fish. Skills, augments and Totem buffs that increase entropy are not calculated into the tournament. However, any abilities or Totem buffs that increase the potential tier of a fish as well as boosters like the Platinum and Mythic Lure increase the potential to win this tournament.

Longest Cast

This one is simple, just cast and catch a fish from the longest distance.

Most Biomes

The first person to fish in as many biomes as possible is the winner. Remember even variations of biomes (e.g. beach vs snowy beach) are counted as different biomes, and there are even a few in the End...

Shortest Length

This tournament is identical to Longest Length, however only triggers manually as a ad-hoc server event.
