Jobs

Jobs are the most reliable way to make money on Teldaria. Once you have joined a job, the things you were already doing — swinging at mobs, breaking blocks, cooking, brewing, casting a rod — start paying you automatically. Every job also levels up as you work it, and several of them unlock perks along the way: custom recipe books, quality-of-life commands, and other abilities you cannot get anywhere else.

You do not pick a job forever. The best job is simply the one that matches how you actually play — a job that pays well is worth nothing if you never do the activity. Browse the full list in game with /jobs browse, and read a specific job's payouts with /jobs info <job>.

Joining and Leaving

Jobs are limited by job slots, not by cost. You can only be in as many jobs at once as you have slots for, so joining a new job usually means leaving an old one first.

Leaving a job costs you 30% of your level in it. Leave Miner at level 50 and you come back at level 35. The rest of your progress is kept, so rejoining later picks up from there. After leaving a job you have to wait 10 seconds before you can rejoin it.

How You Earn

Working a job pays you two things at once:

Reward What it is
Money Paid straight into your balance as you work, checked with /bal
Job EXP Levels the job itself, unlocking that job's level-gated perks

You may also see Job Points in the jobs menus. Teldaria does not use them for anything, so you can ignore them.

Only actions that the job actually lists will pay — every job has its own table of qualifying blocks, mobs, crafts or catches, which you can read in game with /jobs info <job>. Check your current levels any time with /jobs stats, and see where you stand against everyone else with /jobs top <job> or /jobs gtop.

Note that job pay is completely separate from the Skills system and from tFishing experience — the same action can feed several progression systems at once. Fishing is the clearest example: every fish you reel in gives Fisherman job money and job exp, while the tFishing side of the catch levels your fishing skills.

A few rules apply to every job:

The exact pay for each block, mob or craft is listed in game with /jobs info <job>.

Jobs that pay for smelting or brewing only pay for furnaces, smokers and brewing stands that you own, and there is a limit on how many you can own at once:

Block How many you can own
Furnaces 20
Brewing stands 20
Blast furnaces 15
Smokers 15

A prestige perk lets you own 5 more furnaces, brewing stands and smokers. /jobs clearownership releases all of the ones you own.

Boosters

Job earnings can be multiplied by Jobs boosters, one of the four booster types on the server. A Jobs booster multiplies your job money and job EXP together.

Boosters come in three scopes, and all three stack with each other:

Scope Who it affects
Individual Only you
City Every online member of your city — the whole city is notified when one starts
Server Everyone online — announced to the entire server

Two things are worth knowing before you burn a booster:

Use /booster status to list every booster currently affecting you, soonest to expire first, along with your effective multiplier for each booster type. Active boosters also show as boss bars at the top of your screen; if you find them noisy, turn them off under Booster Bars in /settings.

Separately from boosters, prestige perks include permanent 1.25x and 1.5x multipliers to Jobs money and exp.

Jobs boosters are sold in the Mission Shops. They last one hour and range from 1.25x (Novice) to 3x (Ultimate); see Boosters for every tier and where to buy it.

Alchemist

Job Perk: Alchemist Recipes

As you level the Alchemist job you unlock recipes for elixirs — grinding buffs like Iron Scales and Fire Claw, and utility elixirs like Mermaid and Harvester. Most elixir recipes are built almost entirely from custom mob drops.

Cook

Job Perk: Cooking Recipes

Levelling Cook unlocks custom food recipes. The higher-level ones are excellent for grinding and PvP thanks to large health and saturation returns, while others (such as Sushi) hand out situational effects.

Miner

Job Perk: Mining Recipes

The mining job. Levelling Miner unlocks the recipes for gems and runes, most of which need ingots from the custom ores. It pairs naturally with the Gathering skill and the rare tokens that drop while you break stone and ore — note that blocks you placed yourself never pay out those tokens.

Lumberjack

The woodcutting job, paid for chopping logs, stripping them and planting saplings.

Digger

The digging job, paid for shifting dirt, sand, gravel and the rest of the soft blocks. Brushing suspicious sand and gravel for archaeology pays too.

Builder

The building job, paid for placing blocks. Over 400 kinds of building block count, from stone and wood to glass, concrete, wool and terracotta, so it pays you while you build. It has no level rewards.

Fisherman

Job Perk: Access to fishing quality-of-life commands at different levels.

The Fisherman job pays out on every fish you catch and unlocks fishing commands as it levels — the on-the-go menu and fish bag at level 50, and the shop, bait, deliveries, augment, gut and scales sub-menus at level 75. See Fisherman Job Commands for the full list. It also has a daily quest: catch 2 cod, 2 salmon and 2 tropical fish for $100.

Farmer

The farming job, paid for growing and harvesting crops, and for breeding, shearing, milking and taming animals. Levelling Farmer also unlocks Teldaria's custom crops for planting, though the custom crops themselves pay no Farmer income.

Hunter

Job Perk: Hunter Recipes, ability to pick up spawners at different levels.

You join Hunter automatically the first time you log in to Teldaria, so it is everyone's first job. It stays versatile: it pays for killing many of the lower-difficulty mobs across every dimension up to Forged. Its recipe book covers a handful of jerky recipes that give hunger and saturation.

Hunter also lets you pick up mob spawners. Mine a spawner with a Silk Touch pickaxe once your Hunter level is high enough for that mob:

Hunter level Spawners you can pick up
5 Cave Spider, Slime, Silverfish
10 Pig, Spider
15 Rabbit, Zombie
20 Creeper
25 Enderman
30 Sheep
35 Skeleton, Chicken
40 Cow
45 Blaze, Magma Cube
50 Mooshroom
55 Guardian
60 Witch
65 Iron Golem

Hellworker

A specialised Nether job — it pays you for killing, breaking and placing various things inside the Nether. If you spend most of your time down there, this is the job that turns that time into money. It pays for Nether mobs from Forgotten up to Fatal tier.

Riftwalker

The End counterpart. Once the End is unlocked it becomes the primary long-term grinding dimension, and Riftwalker is what makes grinding there pay. If you are building or running an End grinder, pick this job up before you start. It pays for End mobs from Tormented up to Legendary tier.
